How Cockroaches Damage Your Health

A cockroach infestation can truly be a nightmare for families and business owners. When these pests take over a home or business, they can be incredibly difficult to manage and even harder to exterminate once and for all. On top of the obvious issues resulting from a cockroach infestation, they actually do a lot more harm than most people realize. Roaches can cause MAJOR health issues putting you, your family, your employees, or your customers at risk. Here are some of the ways cockroaches do more damage to your health than you think:

1. They Cause Asthma & Allergic Reactions
If you suffer from asthma or allergies, then you know it can often be impossible to identify the source of what triggered your reaction. Cockroach feces and saliva are notorious for causing asthma attacks and allergic reactions, especially with infants, children, and the elderly. Many young people will get irreversible health issues as a result of a prolonged cockroach infestation.

2. E Coli & Salmonella
Roaches can quickly contaminate food and beverages in your home or business with saliva and excrement. If ingested, this can lead to gastroenteritis and typhoid fever common with salmonella. This can also cause E Coli related food poisoning resulting in major stomach and digestion issues.

3. Cross Contamination
Most of time people come in contact with items and areas infected by cockroaches, they don’t notice it. They can then touch their eyes, mouth, and face which then contaminates them and potential others they come in contact with.

It’s safe to say that cockroach infestations should be dealt with as soon as possible. Cockroach Treatment

Roach infestations are a huge health risk for your family, employees, or customers, especially children and the elderly. They quickly contaminate your food, water, and the air around you with their excrement. When consumed or inhaled, this can lead to asthma, salmonella, E coli, and other health issues.

This service includes a complete interior inspection of the property by one of our licensed technicians to find out the causes and conditions of the infestation. When problem areas are found a technician will proceed to a treatment that includes:

Treatment of the entire interior of the structure (living room, bathroom, bedrooms), treatment of baseboards, kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and inside closets (when needed) with a residual product that includes an insect growth regulator to prevent any further infestation.

Interior is also treated with a fogger type product with a flushing agent to eliminate all present roaches on contact, giving a fast roach control.

A licensed technician will apply dust and bait type treatment inside the kitchen & bathroom walls and inside the outlets for longer residuals. In addition, the technician will apply roach bait and dust inside crack & crevice in the kitchen & bathroom cabinets for extra control. This product and treatment are also labeled to work for general pests (ants, roaches, spiders, earwigs, crickets and beetles).

At the time of purchased treatment, a detailed report with the causes or conditions found will be provided with a recommendation to prevent any future infestation by a professional licensed technician.

This service includes a 30-day control period. In that time frame, you must allow 2 weeks for the product to work at 100%. If you are still having problems after this time, we will send a licensed technician to service the property at no additional charge.

NOTE: If the property is bigger than what is described over the phone (or online), the price may change once a licensed technician arrives on site.
